Alfreda C. 'Freda' Bucci, age 89 of Massillon passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Altercare of Navarre.

She was born in Navarre on July 28, 1922 daughter of the late Emery E. and Margaret (Webb) Marsh.

She owned Freda's Beauty Shop in Massillon and retired at age 70. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, Columbian Ladies Guild where she volunteered with the bingo group. She sang with the Sweet Adalines and enjoyed crafts, sewing and quilting. She was a huge Massillon Tiger Fan being a season ticket holder for over 50 years.

Freda is survived by her son Lanny (Sandra) Bucci of Florida, daughter Kathy (Bill) Nichols of Canton, grandchildren Lanny Bucci Jr., Deidra (Carl) Cvetkovich, Gregory (Kelly) Nichols, Scott (Tricia) Nichols and Christopher (Caitlin) Nichols, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Audry Bucci who died in 1981, sisters Virginia St. Dennis and Ruth Shilling and brother Ronald Marsh.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas Cebula and Rev. Thomas Bishop celebrants.

Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.

Calling hours will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel with prayer vigil at 5:45 P.M.
