Please accept my condolences on the passing of Mr. Brady. He was my science teacher in 7th grade, back when it was "weird" for girls to be interested in science. He not only didn't laugh at my questions, he encouraged me to experiment. I eventually got my degree in physics and was fortunate to become one of the first female flight controllers for NASA. I've heard from many of my former classmates that he made a difference in many of our lives, and I wanted to be sure you know how much that early encouragement meant to me personally.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of Mr. Brady. He was my 7th grade science teacher. I regret that I never got to thank him in person for encouraging me in science at a time when girls weren't "supposed" to be interested in such things. I went on to get my degree in physics and became one of the first female flight controllers for NASA. I mention him in my memoir, A Passion for Space, which was published last year. In recent years I have taught astronomy and science writing to middle school students and try to encourage them like Mr. Brady encouraged me. No question is stupid, and science is for everyone to enjoy! I hope that knowing his legacy continues will bring you some comfort.

I remember Frank Brady, science teacher at Taft Jr. High School, with such fondness. He is one of only a few teachers that I continued to think of into adulthood. I'm sorry for the loss to his family. Rest in peace Mr. Brady.

Mr. Brady obviously touched so many young lives in a positive way. He made me believe that I was good at science. It became a self-fulfilling prophecy eventually leading me to become a chemical engineer. I don't think that ever would have happened without Mr. Brady. I am eternally grateful. My condolences to his family.

Frank was our daughter, Erin's, Track coach from 1986 to '89 at GlenOak . He had great athletes those years, and we'll never forget how much he loved his relays! They always got Big team points w/relays! Glenoak Girls were state champions in the 4x800 in 1989, and got an Ohio Record!
We were back in Canton this past fall and wondered how Frank and his wife were doing after all these years. We're so glad we called them and chatted. They were very greatful!
May his family accept our condolences and celebrate his contributions to Education and Athletics,

My deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mr. Brady. He was one heck of a good teacher; he believed in me when I didn't even believe in myself. I have thought of him often over the past 30+ years. Rest in peace, Mr. Brady. I'll see you soon enough and the shenanigans will begin again!

RIP, Mr. Brady. You were one of the two or three most memorable teachers I had at any level. Your gruff exterior belied a wicked sense of humor and a genuine concern for your students; I probably learned as much from you about life as I did about science. But you demonstrated such passion for the subject matter that I spent long hours poring over textbooks and contemplating Newtons and vectors and centrifugal versus centripetal forces. I did NOT want to disappoint you. Sorry if I drove you nuts trying to understand the difference between cohesion and adhesion. Thanks for overcoming my teenage inertia through the unstoppable force of your personality.

Frank Brady will always hold a special place in my heart. During my time in Plain Local as both a student and a teacher, he was an inspiration, a mentor, and a treasured friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you remember this one-of-a-kind guy. He will truly be missed, but we will all have many wonderful memories and lessons to help continue his legacy.

Mr. Brady was one of my first teachers when I switched to public school. I loved his science class because he was so enthusiastic about it too. He taught many of my siblings ~ with 10 Preusser kids, kind of hard to avoid that. I always enjoyed running into him outside of school ~ he always made me feel special. sorry to hear of his passing. He touched many lives for the better. Patty Preusser Dalsky

I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Brady's passing. I've often thought of him over the years ....he was the best teacher Taft Middle School ever had. I played basketball and ran track because of him .... he was a teacher who believed in me, so I didn't give up. My heartfelt sympathy to his family.

I wonder how many teachers after over 50 years one can name. Only the best come to mind. 53 years ago I had the privilege of being in Mr. Brady's 7th grade science class. I feared, respected, and loved Mr. Brady all at the same time. My wife, Connie and I would see Mr. Brady at Carm's Grocery Store where Mrs. Brady worked as a cashier. We always went to her aisle and would see Mr. Brady occasionally picking things up after school on Fridays. It made me feel good that he remember me.

Mr. Frank Brady was a great teacher. He taught science, but even more importantly he taught self-discipline and a strive to achieve. Thank you for being so important in seventh grade. I remember where I sat in your class, some of your stories, and of course, Taft sports. May organize a girls track team in Heaven. May God bless your beautiful wife, Rosemarie, and your family. May Jesus give them the Peace only He can give. Thank you, sir!
