Norman Michael Gutlove

June 29, 1931 ~ October 9, 2016 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Norman Michael Gutlove, 85, of Ponce Inlet, Florida passed away peacefully during the early morning hours of October 9, 2016. He was surrounded by loved ones as he joined his beloved wife of 61 years, Gilda, in Heaven. It is with a heavy heart that we lay to rest our Father, Grandfather, and friend. After losing his wife just a few months ago, he succumbed to a hard fought battle against Parkinson's Disease.
Norman was born on June 29, 1931 in New York, NY, the only child of Paul and Bertha Gutlove. He will be remembered for his remarkable intellect, funny quips, timely sense of humor, and his gentle, dignified comportment. Norman put himself through both college and graduate school, eventually earning a Master's Degree in Physics and graduating Cum Laude from Cornell University.
He lived a fulfilling life, instilling his beliefs, morals and ethics for hard work in his beautiful family, while expecting nothing but the best from his peers. He constantly surrounded himself with dear friends and family that he could both teach and learn from.
His retirement years were spent traveling the world and back again, enjoying holidays with family on their Florida beach, and making new memories every year. He inspired his children to follow their dreams, and once they achieved their goals, to be the best that they could possibly be. A quintessential gentleman that set his mind to a goal and made his visions a reality, creating a legacy of success and admiration. He truly had an analytical mind and was the consummate optimist.
"When tomorrow starts without me, don't think that we're apart, for every time you think of me, just know I'll be there, right here in your heart." -Author Unknown
His memory lives on through his children Lisa, David , Bruce and Amanda, 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
